National Rodeo League
The National Rodeo League – NRL – started in 2006 with the objective of promoting the Barretos Rodeo Circuit and to bring into action a new professional model in the rodeo market.
With inspiration from the "Pelé Law" (a law which was promoted by Pelé), which allows entities which administrate sporting activities to organize themselves in leagues and integrate the "Sistema Nacional do Desporto", or "National Sport System", the LNR (National Rodeo League) is established as a corporate entity with private interest, with autonomous organization and operation, and ability to enter into contracts.
The NRL shows how serious its purpose is through their choice of suppliers, establishing rules that are to be obeyed by the stages, in the assessment of animal and competitor welfare, in matters of security issues and, above all, the capacity for signing contracts.
